Smartphone question

So I have a rather obsurce request for a phone feature I'm not even sure exists.

My wife wants to try and find a phone that will let her lock the home/start buttons at the bottom so that if she gives it to our son with a game for him to play he cannot accidently press the home button adn quit the game.

Or a model that has a case available that covers the buttons or in some other way makes them hard to push.

Has anyone ever heard of someting like this?

How good are either of you at making things? You could probably make a case out of a material that does what you want.
  • I hadn't thought of that. She's actually pretty decent with a sewing machine. Just something to slip the phone into wile little one is playing. I'll have to suggest it, thanks Worf!

The latest version of iOS has that exact feature. It's called "Guided Access," and IIRC should work on any iPhone that runs iOS 6, so the 3GS, 4, 4S, and 5.
