I really hope to get educated in flying, someday. I'd love to even have a single-engine license and a plane to fly around.
That'll come someday. Flying is in my genes. Everyone on my mother's side of the family was, is, or will be a pilot.

Classes are starting up again, and next I'm workin on my instructor rating. The thought of me teaching people how to fly scares me (and it should scare you too [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/wink.gif[/img]) lol
And Biggles, years down the road when I have a job with the airlines, I'll try to get you in for free, hell, I might even be able to get you in the jump seat in the cockpit...

My grandfather flew for both the military and for American Airlines. He *LOVED* his 707, and even had a plan to deal with terrorists: Flash the fasten seatbelts sign, then do a triple barrel role. The plane was quite capable of this, so as long as the passengers were buckled in... [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/tongue.gif[/img]
On a related note, one of my neighbors was the pilot of one of the first 747s to be hijacked. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/tongue.gif[/img]
We've heard lots of fun stories from that, including the braindead requests made by the hijackers. [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/smile.gif[/img]
My uncle used to fly 747s, but now he is operating the 777 Simulator at the American AIrlines training center.
Another uncle also flew for American, and I believe he prefered the 737 above all.
