So... I cannot get into bios anymore. Usually when I boot up my PC I can hit F1 to enter setup. However, not the F1 key will not bring me to setup (no key will). So here is my retarded question. What is the normal way to get into BIOS (I am trying to figure out what my motherboard is)? Also, I am looking for a good place to find out what my motherboard is compatable. This computer was a ~2000$ Gateway machine that I got around Christmas 2001 (I think). Has a 1GH Athlon processor with a GeForce 2 MX card. I am looking to upgrade the RAM, graphics card, and if I have enough money the processor (if possible, considering I can boost it by 50% for under 100$). So, I figure any graphics card is compatable (I have an AGP port). However, I need to know what exactly I can get (processor and RAM wise). So, when I figure out my motherboard I will come here for help on these things. Thanks in advance.
Sorry, its AGP. Again, the only thing I want to find is what the motherboard is.

For system specs, go to Gateway's website. Your model number should be on that computer somewhere.

Sandra by SiSoftware. It installs as a Control Panel and gives you all system specs. And the freeware version is all you will ever need!
