Half life Mod :(

In case anyone was following the development of my B5 Half life mod, work on
it has now ceased due to lack of support and people willing to help produce
it.

Please see my letter on the website http://come.to/b5sitn

I do have another B5 project which will soon be starting up but it will not
be an FPS.

Thank you to anyone that supported the mod and I'm sorry that I could not
realise my dream fully.

Any comments, either post here or mail me.

  • SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
And I was really looking forwards to this one. Well, best of luck on the next one.

Sorry to hear about its passing... My best of luck to you on your new project though. We will be here waiting... :)
  • Rest assured that I have no intention of leaving this project dead!

The half life engine was really getting on a bit anyway and we found that it couldn't really cope with the central core (garden, maze) areas.

We will take this up again, the story line is all done, we can re-use the textures that we have completed. I expect that we will look to using the half-life 2 engine sometime in the future.

In the meantime, our next project's website should be up soon!

The HL2 engine is definitely likely to be more suited to your needs.

A pity. I was also looking forward to this.
  • And you can look forward to it again, later.

Website for new project is about 90% complete!

As a little teaser the new project is titled:

Babylon 5 - How to screw in a lightbulb on B5

    cryptic enough for ya?!
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way

Simple. Blow a hole into the hull and then just make yourself a merry-go-round and screw the b.. I mean lightbulb into place.
  • man, I was really wanting this one...

onthe other hand, the Source (HL2) Engion is MUCH more suited for modders, been reading up on it.

MUCH larger areas available per map, better graphics, decorative meshes that can be used again and again with no extra work, etc etc. Its all good. :)

Can't wait to see your next project!

Yes, HL2 should be alot more appropriate. Plus you are already past several of the major hurdles...
