Yes, and the word people get in their heads after the word hardcore is porn, so that may not be the imagery we're looking for.
How about;
Would you prefer to receive extra, game-related material (manuals, production histories, stickers[?]) and a cardboard box alongside with the bare game-CD for a slightly increased price?

Well, firstly, great work to SB and all the others here, I hopin' this will work.
Now I know you said dont fill it out, but I was reading, and someone else had a problem, so I went and had a play, and I had some problems. Firstly, I filled in all that stuff 'bout how many games I own and such, and then went on to the break down by catagoury(sp???). I then went back up cos I realized I had more games then I thought, so I was going to change it, but it was already changes. I dont know how but it was already more then I had put in, in fact both "How many games do you own?" and "How many games have you brought in the last year?" were at 26 - over.
I fixed this and then carryed on down. I filled out all of the remaining questions, and then returned to the top. On the way up I found that the three questions about where, whom, and customization, were now turned completely off. Also, one of the numbers questions, the one about the year, had gone back to 26 - over.
On a second run through, I didnt get any problems with the numbers (probly arent any ), but found that the Where Whom and How questions are linked some how ( you select in one, then move on to the next your selections in the first disappear, as arew the two y/n questions....
Well enough rambling, hopefully these will be easy to fix, and we can get on with getting the game

www.oranhide.cjb.net Go there, go now.
schmacker ( and anyone else who tried playing with the questionaire ), it doesn't work. There is next to bugger all behind that page. It is just like a prop on a set... looks great, reads well but its JUST a wall... nothing actually works. It is there just so people can look at it and comment on the questions, the content... actually testing it and seeing if this bucket actually holds any data is yet to come.
Nobody seems to have bitched about any content, nor added anything so I reckon I've got it about nailed.
Anyone who disagrees, by all means tell me about it and I'm just one big gaping ear..
Once it does have a back end I'll tell you about it and then work can start in earnest.
I have shitloads of work to do so be patient.
Unless there are any dedicated and quality graphic designers out there who know Freehand, Quark, Photoshop etc who wont mind me Art Directing.

Yes, I know that. But it's a very bad word to use in a survey that is meant to sound official.

Agree'd, any word, that replaces an S with a Z, makes things sound like its said by a wannabe teenager. IMHO
Hardcore really doesn't describe a gamer who wants the game with no extras. Hardcore players usually want all the extra stuff.
Yes, and the word people get in their heads after the word hardcore is porn, so that may not be the imagery we're looking for.
