We haven't actually written down any detailed rules (we're kinda lazy), although we do sort of have some. Here are some general rules we like people to stick to:
[list=1][*]No mentioning the name of a certain female starfleet captain. This is a bannable offense.
[*]Behave: no flaming, no unnecessary swearing at people, no personal attacks, etc.
[*]No porn/nudity.
[*]Don't make your signature longer than 5 lines of normal sized text at 1024x768 (including images - no, images don't count as a single line) and keep image file size small (saves on loading time). This helps prevent threads becoming cluttered by a mass of signatures, particularly when people make short, single-line posts. You can minimise sig size by leaving out things like an entire line devoted to a break (eg: =======), not signing your name (it's on the left of your post already, no real need to sign it again), and using tables. If you want to put War and Peace at the end every post you make, go do it on some other forum where the post content doesn't matter.
[*]No animated signatures (animated images, blink tags, etc). Animated avatars are OK, provided they're low key. Try and excercise common sense, consideration and restraint when using an animated avatar. But no animated signatures.
[*]One account per person. No creating extra accounts for yourself. They will be deleted.
[*]Absolutely no porn.
[*]Quoting Steven Siegal, his works, or parodies thereof is strictly prohibited.

There are probably more that I've forgotten. They hardly ever get broken, so we tend not to remember until they do. :) If you're unsure about something, just PM one of the admins (Sanfam or Biggles) and ask, you'll find we're all very liberal.
