    Tried that already. Couldn't find anything that looked like a decent, free directshow filter.

    If you're not happy with ffdshow, you can always rely on Intervideo codecs...

    As far as I know, there are no legal free DVD codecs because of licensing issues. If you find a free one, it's good probability that it's taken from one of the commercial softwares, and thus illegal. And should you find one that isn't taken from commercial softwares, I doubt the makers have paid the licenses, thus it is illegal.

    DVD filters can handle css, mainly. And ffdshow isn't set up to play dvds in Windows, soyou have to scew around with it.

    Anyway, Fury's right, but I don't care. Cole2k's fantastic, and the MPAA can rot in hell with its monopoly. Thanks, Eclectionaut.
