    "That's no Moon...

    ... it's a space station."

  • I thought that those were some kind of charcoal embers... but a campfire and happy sing-alongs are missing from the picture! :p

They certainly have their own artistic style and take on the universe.

The texture and design suggest they were grown (almost like coral)...

If I could play this game without paying for it, I would.

Why do all 4 species have the same type of ship design method? They all look like bumpmap extreme.

that size chart is kind of misleading...

Those huge ships are miles long, I used to play, and if those are to scale with the battleships, all I can say is, HOLY SHIT would you NOT want to come upon that ship while traveling through space.

I am not sure if the ingame ships are to scale.

If I remmeber correctly a Raven Class Battleship is about 921 metres long.

Mind you I think they mite have reduced the size on the titans in game to keep them from crashing the server or making laggy.

  • i was smirking when i saw someone in the rookie help channel on eve say "oh man, good thing that they (the titans) will be so hard to get. a few of them would probably crash the server".

i say it will only take 1 to crash the server because as soon as it gets operational everybody will pile into the system it's in to drool over it  :D (and then imagine if the pilot accidentally activates the doomsday weapon on it.. whoopsie! :D )

Other than people rushing in, the titan itself wont cause the server to crash. Th eonly data transmited between client and server is an number to id ships, numbers for location and velocity, and some other stuff for weapons and the like. The server itself isn't playing the game like the client is, it isn't rendering anything, only the same valus, and some others, that transmit between client and server. Nothing more (really) and nothing less.

So in other words, the server wouldn't crash at all. All the people would rush in to see it, and as each person arrives, their client would crash trying to render the huge ship. :D
