    I actually disagree with high thread counts. :p Better is a relative term. High-count monothread, hell yeah. High-count polythread, absolutely not. Polythread feels really soft when you first use it, but it'll start to ball up with regular use/washing and will become more rough with time, whereas the monothread will only get softer and more comfortable as it ages. 400-700 thread count monothread > 800-1200 thread count polythread any day.
