    While I admire his accomplishments and his entrepreneurial spirit, I'm not sure he's going to find that many volunteers to fly to Mars. You'll need specialists like those found in the army corps of engineers to prepare the field for workers who will come later to get busy. He actually thinks people will pay to work their a$$e$ off instead of enjoying their maturity and retirement on good old Earth. I don't know what world he's living in, but it's definitely not ours. ;)

    Maybe Elon Musk should start a KS and have people pledge their life savings for the privilege the Australians had so many years ago. :D

    While I'm sure it will get to the point where people can pay as much as a home to move to Mars, as he wants, I agree with Stingray's point that it will be specialists-only for a long time. It's not quite the same as hopping on a ship to the New World and starting a new farm in a random piece of land when you get there.
