• Er, what's different? Looks similar. Also, the thunderbolts launching are still far too small.Check out the Shadow Threat game trailer.

Much better, but you still need to turn down the fill lights.

MageWolf, I think that's about the right size for the T-bolt. Remember that the Omega is a BIG ship, about 1775m long. In the series, the animators would change the scale of the ships to make the scene look better and not care about making it accurate (within reason of course).

Just something to improve on: the cockpits should be illuminated on the t-bolt and s-furies

just an observation...

Yes, the cockpits should have a red lighting on the inside. That launchbay STILL isn't red enough. There shouldn't be ANY other lighting in that bay other than red.

• Reap, I've noticed something in both versions of your pic.

Why is it that the guns aren't lined up?

Because the angle at which we see the Agamemnon show's her at a slight list to her port, then the line between the guns should be parallel to the listing of the Agamemnon herself.

Here's a pic which shows what I'm trying to say.

That gun on her port side needs to be moved up a bit.

Hamblin: the reason the guns are as so was to convey the image of THe functionality of earth ships. This is the same as on the show. the omega has its main guns made that way for efficiency, and lower construction cost. Which would you prefer: a symetrical ship, requiring a seperate set of molds to make the parts for each side, or a ship that just reverses the design on the other side?
Even though the cost per part would not be too different, there would be a big difference when you produce hundreds of the same design...

And yes hamblin, that's how it is on the show
take a look at the screencaps

Yeah, the gun on the port side is just a replica of the gun on the starboard side. Since it's an exact copy, when it's flipped over, the large barrel is on the bottom. It looks the same on the design for the ITF game that Marc H (I think) made. And since he used the original show models, I'd say it's canon.

has anyone ever asked jms why all the earth ships are so realistic?

Because the EA is supposed to show that humans can make anything! Even if the Omega does look like the Leonov...

As for the guns, did find that an odd thing. Something so large would not need a cast, and the fittings would need inverting anyhow. Odd. Still, gives slightly more ability to hit something!

One thing though you never see is the guns rotating.

Also, the Omega's not unfortuantly very realistic. She's GREAT if she never actually moves, but soon as she does you have another direction of movement to splat all the people into another wall. (Although with internal rotating sections inside the main rotating section you can get around it, but little horrid.)

What an odd question...

JMS: We tried to make them more unrealistic, but we just kept getting it wrong!

• Just a quick question...

Why would a TBolt be launching while the Aggie is jumping into a system.
Wouldn't it be a little bit dangerous to launch at that time.
