BTW, this is the 2nd image in a series. The first one is here:

All done in trueSpace 4, no post-processing.

• Wow... you did THAT with Truespace?

Maybe I should try to learn to use mine

• Yep, all trueSpace...

I did use some plugins, however:
- Wfmm Reflects Pro (specularity and diffuse maps for the ship)
- Wfmm Glow (red and green navigation lights)
- Wfmm Bloom (glaring white highlights)
- ShaderLab (starfield and beam)

So you could say I "augmented" trueSpace. But hey, all LW'ers and MAX'ers use plugins too...

How much do those plugins cost? I've been trying to make good weapon effects with no luck...

• The only plugin I used for the beam effect was ShaderLab, that only costs $20. Its a shader that has its own scripting language. (Note that I used TS built-in flare effect for the beam base flare)

You can find it at: http://www.primitiveitch.com/catalog/catalog.html - Its the Shader Lab 1.0 Explorer Edition

Its really an essential shader for TS, You can do so much with the available ShaderLab scripts out there. I used one of the scripts for the starfield too. Here is a gallery of some ShaderLab scripts: http://www.primitiveitch.com/shaderlab/gallery.html
