Not a rumor, its true. After the overwelming response they recieved after the 2002(?) Detroit Car Show, Ford annouced they were going to build it. Intial report stated that is would most likey have a supercharge V8 pushing 500 hp.
That has to be one of the most brutally beautiful cars ever built.
All I know is that a mini (the old ones) will fit in the bed of my fathers F-250 its not easy mind you but it can be done with the proper equipment
Gimme a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood with the 500, and I'll show you a car that could fit a Mini in the trunk, with groceries.
I just plain *love* the Lincoln Mark Viii. Anybody who knows me has probably started to hate it, because I just can't stop talking about it!
But that is the next car. My current toy is a 1993 Volvo 850 GLT. I'm rather interested in picking up an 850 T5-R someday. Specifically, a deep blue 1996 T5-R with Sun roof, sports suspension, and leather/cloth hybrid seats.
As for the lincoln, I'm also focused on getting a Blue 1996 Mark Viii LSC with tan interior. My plans are to install the Bullitt Rims, install Kale's suspension mod (think of a fully controllable ride height of 4-12 inches!. :-))
I think my next project car will be a 57 Chevy Belar. Already have suspension parts, axles and fresh 396 4 bolt main 030 over for it.

The Mark VIII are cool but I like the Mark VIIs better. I think that car had just the right combination of older car and modern day styling. Plus a HO 5.0 V8 didn't hurt a damn thing!

Argone, my fathers F-250 is an 86 Lariat edition with the full length bed, trust me, it didnt need as much prodding as you would think to get it in there.
If it was tad wider I could fit a california king in there!.. actualy.. humm I might be able to, gotta check on that one

That would be cool, if they put a good sized engine in it.
