Hey everyone. I was flipping through the Best Buy add and came upon an add for Earth and Beyond for $19.99 I seem to recall that some of the ex-devs here have worked on it, and think it would be a good investement. However, I have never played a online pay for service game (not once). I assume that the game comes with three months free service. IS it worth it? I doubt I will continue to play after the free period expires (unless I get hooked). So what do [b]you[/b] think? Do any of you play it? Thanks.

I tried the beta - interesting, but not worth a pay-to-play.
If it was single player, I'd own it in 5 seconds.

lol... but still, does anyone else play it or have any comments (I doubt I would pay to play after the first month).
Don't go by the beta. A lot was missing. I can tell you that the storytelling is multi-layered and continuously evolving. It's sketched out far into the future - like JMS did for B5. Pretty cool. There’s lots of stuff to do and lots of places to explore. There’s plenty of danger. You can shoot, but it’s not really a shooter – more of a RPG/ adventure. Lots of factions to join. Nice artwork.
I'm sure it's not for everyone, but it's doing quite well.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars (where ITF was 6 stars [img]http://216.15.145.59/mainforums/wink.gif[/img] )
