  • Bring back some memories, Marc?

  • Spread that article around, folks. It's not too late to force the government to step in - again. Sure, I know that Gates and the government are in bed together, but when the people get pissed off and speak up, they're forced into action anyway. S…

  • Rick is still working on the business plan. We need to get it done before we can move forward on making contact with various publishers. I just got word today that he expects to have a first draft ready for me to look at this week.
  • We are talking with potential publishers. Both of us have a ton of work to do. We'll get to Blue Byte as soon as we can.
  • Chicky: Rick's going to look into it. Thanks.
  • Didn't they do Archemedian (sp) Dynasty? If so, I'd love to see these guys put out ITF. I was very much influenced by their game in the early design stages of our game. It's a kick-ass under water sim with great "flight" characteristics, which in…
  • Faylorn: We've mentioned a couple of times that we have a pretty good handle on things for right now. That could be why this area isn't active. We appreciate the creativity though. BTW, even though most of us are angry with Sierra, we do not advo…
  • Thanks! Idea acknowledged. We'll have to talk about it. It may not be necessary.
  • No. I can tell you that we have options though.

  • Rick Brewer and I are heading an effort to finish the original design independently in a new studio that we are creating called Sector 14 Studios. Dan Foy (one of the original designers and the lead programmer - now with MS) is advising and helping…

  • Rick, who was been on the business side of trying to get the game done after Sierra axed it and I (one of the designers) and a few other memebers of the original team are taking a wack at producing the game independently. But it's early in the proc…
  • Indigo: You can direct people to my statement here, but I'd rather not have it propagated throughout the Net. I don't want it to be seen out of context. This is a very general statement that can sound like a lot of hot air, unless someone who is i…
  • The philosophy behind the game engine design is flexibility to the extent that the engine could be used for a variety of types of games. Integral to the game engine is a method for conveying a non-linear, non-branching story where the activities of…
  • Very basically, the Limited Partners invest money, do not have any control over the company, but can only lose the amount that they invest. They are not responsible for any losses beyond their investment. General Partners are responsible for …
  • I never said anything about "shares". I was talking about a "limited partnership" - which is a very much different thing. I'm not sure about what kind of legal vehicle could be used as a way to both utilize your kind offers and also protect yo…

  • Thanks, Ringo. Much of what you've suggested is already happening in the background. We have our spokesperson/ business organizer, etc. And we have the info we need regarding Sierra.
  • Re: who owns it... Here's an idea. Fan money goes into an independently administered interest baring account. That account becomes a single Limited Partner in a Limited Partnership Company. But I’m no lawyer and the feasibility and legality…
  • I don't think that talking in terms of roughly 2.5 million (US) to get the game done at this point is unreasonable. Could have been done for much less earlier, of course. But now there'd need to be the hiring of an almost entirely new crew, learni…
