Plus, the director's commentary is interesting and you can actually pause the credits at the end of "sleeping in light" (sniffle).

Sooner or later, with the Elite: Dangerous boards doing everything firstones used to do, we'll have to scuttle the forums to prevent them becoming a hazard to navigation.

Green?
-
It's a nice place here.
-
Darth Vader is new green leader.
-
Zip then fasten, usually.

Favorite scene is when two characters are fighting hand-to-hand, and the camera pans out to show just how insignificant it all is; great movie. Y'all who haven't seen it yet have absolutely no excuses left.

I should read the John Carter books now. Having seen the movie first (yes, I know, cardinal sin), it came off as not very well-developed plot-wise. Maybe not that; but it seemed a bit "big for its britches."
-
Was it anything like "Steampunk Romans on Mars" John Carter?
-
Once it comes out on DVD, I'll borrow it from the library, get a few friends together on a couch, and laugh my butt off. But for now, I have better things to do.
-
There's no reason to get mad if you were not expecting it to be good. Just sit back and laugh your butt off.

Sagan's version probably isn't as classroom-friendly, true.
-
No show or movie has touched me as much as the original cosmos -- yes, including you Babylon 5, Firefly, and the remake.

You are and forever will be our friend.

Old actors pretending they are still young.

I'm always amazed by the detail in your stories, Stingray. It's not "I played Elite: Dangerous and blew up a few spaceships," its "I was in the cockpit of a spaceship for two hours yesterday." It's incredible that the devs have managed to make that …

GREEEN!

If you can get over the horrible visual effects and often even more horrible acting, it's a great show. Its flaws are forgivable if you think about their budget at the time. The plot is good, some of the acting isn't half bad, and the music is real…

Thanks for the warm welcome boys and girls. Back to Star Wars: What do you think you will find yourselves complaining about the most about the new movie?
-
New. Found you guys from an old link on Farah.cl's "You know you've been watching too much B5" page about 4 months ago.

PURPLE!
-
The original series has become a guilty pleasure of mine recently.
-
MCME is a fun place. Linux client seems to dislike it, sadly.
-
Borrowing from Worf, I want to see them do some of the EU stuff. Seeing the galaxy gun arc happening at the same time as the "Skywalker kids fighting a sith Skywalker sibling" arc would be fun.
-
Speaking of exploring unknown space, ALL ABOARD THE NO MAN'S SKY HYPE TRAIN!
-
Do you guys think that the new movie will be at least as "good" or better than the prequel trilogy?
-
Unlike the LOTR movies, the primary motivation of this trilogy was to make money rather than a faithful adaptation of the book. If you look at it from that direction, the movies were great.

Sweedish meatballs all over the universe.

I recently spotted Mira Furlan in the new Payday 2 add, Claudia Christian in a tavern in Skyrim, Bruce Boxetlinger in Spec Ops: The line, and Anna Sheridan in an episode of TNG.

I don't know -- with the popularity of shows such as "game of thrones" and "breaking bad" (even BSG to some extent), it has been shown that a show can be popular without likable characters.
