Just so those that are considering switching to a Mac. Its already implemented into OS X. :D
Can't wait for Tiger to come out though it won't neccesarily effect me that much since Im only using a Mini. But I think apple is one step away from owning the game market. They just need more manufacturers to switch over. Cause ya know we've got everything but that & even then I can play all of my recent favorites...Excluding CS.
Ahh... so good to play with hardware again (&cut skin on sharp edges), this is much better than looking all those acronyms on paper too many times! :D
nForce4 might have "VIA allergy" because SATA/ATA133 RAID card with VIA's chip prevents booting farther than "BIOS"... no matter do you use boot disk/CD or XP's installation disk PC always freezed when loading of "OS" should have started.
Otherwise putting it together went well... except that boot order in BIOS doesn't mean nothing after all, you have to select boot device also from "boot menu" (F8 at time of POST), I think this feature might be for installing multiple OSs to separate HDs. Also Asus puts its ACPI drivers to really illogical, hard to find place... and installing drivers for SiI3114 SATA RAID controller is little complicated. (or getting XP to accept those)
Damn this Zalman 7700 is impressive CPU cooler from many viewpoints... literally: it weights 0,9 kg!
(you really realise its size and weight only when you have it in your hands)
And new parts were:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD 64 3500+ Winchester (90nm)... "@~3800" (2.2>2.42)

I Just got my 3500 939 AMD too.. It is nice. I just had too update the A8N Deluxe Bios too 1007. I did have a problem with movie files and such not playing but it was a codec issue. Great web site found if no one knew about it.
almost every codec known to man. My back up portable maxtor drive had movie files I could never play. After installing the Mega Codecs file. I can play anything.
One question I have a stream version of Half Life 2 but I cannot play it with the 5.1 sound. All diags and other programs so far have no problem with 5.1. Is it a problem the the download version of HL2? Still a great game with 2 channel anyway.
