New Farscape and BSG shorts

I've never actually watched it, but i know some of you like it, and it seems Farscape might not be dead after all

    I haven't seen Farscape yet, so I don't know if I've been missing anything. I don't even know the cast.

    As for BSG: Razor, I'm looking forward to it. Which reminds me, I need to check the prices for seasons 2 and 3.

    I kind of forgot about BSG altogether... out of sight, out of mind.

    Two more weeks until B5:TLT comes out and counting.... :D

    Yes as am I. Could this be the killswitch hack they used to bring down all the colonial defenses, or the biolons, ressurection? Other than that there is no frightening Cylon weapon we've seen. Other than that the basetars and raiders get smeared at like a 10:1 ratio.

    I'm really hoping they do a good job on Razor. Its probably the most anticipated story since Pegasus people want to see told. I'm hoping it will have a feel somewhat like the miniseries but Pegasus themed. I just hope they don't mess it up with that new unheard of character they are bringing in to Razor. Seems like the Pegasus story has a lot of meat without having to add more clutter to it.

    I hope we get to see the colonial shipyards under attack in Razor. The way Cain described the attack it sounded so catastrophic. It would be cool to see battlestar after battlestar go up and then cut to Cain on the bridge trying to take in what had just occurred in the last few moments and then giving the order to jump. Bring on November 24th!!!!

    More Farscape would be welcome.

    Farscape is one of those things I always meant to watch but never actually got around to doing anything about it. It's on 'the list' though :)

    Ah crap, I hate Sci-Fi. Looks like the BSG mini-sodes will not be released online like the season 3 ones. You'll have to sit through an episode of Flash Gordon to catch each one every week. After watching the first episode, I doubt thats going to happen again for me. Youtube here we come.

    Thats why I say that won't be happening again for me. I saw the first episode and barely made it through. It was pretty bad.

    What a pity...maybe I'll try to tune in to the last 5 minutes...I really want to see the mini eps...It added some solid backstory to the beginning of Season 3.

    As I said on IRC, in the attempt to make Flash Gordon into a modern "Dark Scifi Epic Drama" ala BSG, they managed to forget the space ship, Queen, the quirky humor, and anything else remotely good beyond hot co-stars. They really need to reboot the reboot and make it a cheesy scifi serial again. And fire the cast, because they are seriously sucking.

    As also said on IRC, I think we're in for another few years of nothing special until the people who grew up in the last golden age of Scifi, the 90's, take up positions in the industry and produce some new goodness. As I see it, the good run we had just recently was mostly a carryover from the same group as before. DK, RDM, Whedon all had their start in or around the last boom. And until network executives can see the true causes of recent television "failures," it's unlikely many networks will pick up another "Thing flies through space, does stuff" type series.
