We've seen many similar presentations and panels in Japan, including a few in my city (since it's full of scientists and all that). It's a pity journalists won't cover things like that... :(
Tuesday the 26th of April at 18:00 hours they are going to let the sirens and church bells sound off this side of the pond for 5 minutes to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the [URL="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yahooeditorspicks/galleries/72157626251068003/"]Chernobyl disaster[/URL] and in support of the Fukushima crisis. I can't believe it's been 25 years already. I watched a documentary from 2005 (Discovery Channel) on YT and it's still shocking. :(

Many of the embassies behaved appallingly, probably based on misinformation. I'm glad my embassy didn't panic. It would have been embarrassing.
