FOX's "24" and Babylon 5
FOX just showed the fist episode of the second season of "24", which I consider to be the best show on television right now.
Sharp-eyed B5 fans who watched the episode (which was shown commercial-free, thanks to Ford) might have recognized Tamilyn Tomita, who played Lt. Cmdr. Laurel Takashima in the B5 pilot "The Gathering".
And she's not the only B5 connection to "24". One of the main characters who's returning from last season is CTU agent Tony Almeida, played by Carlos Bernard. Carlos had a small roll in [i]Babylon 5: A Call To Arms[/i]. He played an officer aboard the Excalibur.

Ok, here's a description of the show:
"24" is a real-time action-drama. By "real-time", I mean that the events in take place as they would in real life. Each episode covers one hour of the drama.
For example, the entire 24-episode first season covered one day. Each episode was one hour of that day, starting at midnight. The first episode was titled "12:00 AM - 1:00 AM". The final episode of season one was titled "11:00 PM - 12:00 AM".
The show centers around Jack Bauer, played by Keifer Sutherland. Bauer works for the Los Angeles branch of CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit).
When the first season begins, it's midnight on the day of the California Presidential Primaries. CTU starts to uncover a plot to assassinate David Palmer, one of the candidates for President of the US.
Jack heads up the investigation, and soon, his family becomes involved, and Jack learns that the assassination is about more than just David Palmer.
The show uses some unique cinematography techniques, such as split-screens that show events happening simultaneously, or the same event from different camera angles. This unique style really complements the real-time nature of the show.
We're now one episode into the second season. Season 2 takes place approximately eighteen months after the events of season one.
