Hasbro E-11 conversion pics

I had the stock Hasbro stormtrooper blaster:

Ok for a toy, but no quite suitable for a costume that's supposed to be indistinguishable from a screen-used one.

Ok, so I get a detail kit from a guy in the UK, some paint, and some plastic strips, rip apart a laser pointer and a scotch tape dispenser, add some paint (and an unhappy wife-long story) and what do we get?

Scope lights up and the laser pointer is mounted in the front of the sight.

Now I have too do something nice for Tara as I spent almost all of Saturday afternoon finishing this off. Now we can get the project stuff out of the dining room!
