    Thanks guys for reminding me just how shit my internet is! To be fair tho, its not my internet anymore seeing as how I'm living at home now, and when I get to move out again I definitely wont be getting Virgin again

    my ISP offers both a 15 and 20 mbit plan, but unless i drop my Static IP, i really can't afford it right now, and anyway, 10mibts is plenty, as 99% of the stuff i download comes in at less than 10mbits.

    Fun fact of the day. Decided to do a speedtest at work. Speakeasy (which speedtest.net uses) clocked me at 20-30mbps. We only have a 6mbps package from Comcast. So I decided to try other servers for speed tests. not one broke 8mbps.

    I think Comcast is cheating...by uncapping bandwidth to the Speakeasy speedtest servers.
