Puerto Rico!

Does anyone else play this?
Peter and I (and recently Worf) have been playing this online.

Interesting strategy game that has been #1 for years and years as a board game.

I've attached instructions for anyone who doesn't know about it which include the link for people who might want to play.

I go by Dax or auroranine.

Let's play!

If you look on the 3rd page of the instructions, the links are all there.

Ah, I should have looked at those :)

Anyway, it's a fun game! More people come and play it with us :)

I might just do that. Havent been playing much of any boardgame since I moved.

It's easier when you just try it, the hardest part for me is keeping an eye on the game as a whole and figuring out how many turns are left.

turns are left...I thought it had said the game has no turn limit?
• DaxDax Redshirt
where did you see that?

Game Play:
1) There are an undetermined number of rounds. The game ends when 1 of 3 end conditions is met.
2) Start: Player X is the Governor for this round. That player gets first pick of the ROLES from the
list. They pick a role and then each player takes a turn to complete an action that corresponds
from that role. (Ex: Player 1 picks Settler and chooses a Sugar plantation. Player 2 picks an
Indigo plantation etc…) The Governor shifts at the start of every round.
3) Then, the next player chooses a role from the remaining roles available on the list. This continues
until each player has had the chance to pick a role. (Ex: Player 2 chooses Mayor and places a
colonist on their Indigo plantation, Player 3, 4 and 1 places a colonist, then Player 3 chooses
Builder…)
4) The round ends and then the roles reset. Unused roles gain a (+1) bonus at the end of each
round, so the next player who chooses that role gets to keep any coin bonus associated with it.
This makes it likely that all roles will eventually be chosen.
5) Repeat rounds until end conditions are met.
6) End conditions:
a. There are not enough colonists remaining. (See screen shot: “SPAIN”)
b. The supply of chips is exhausted (See screen shot: “CHIPS”)
c. Any one player builds in all twelve spots on their island

Yeah that means the the rounds repeat for an undetermined number until 1 of the 3 end conditions are met. Which means that a game could have 10 rounds or 50, no one knows until 1 end condition is met.

Oh, I thought this thread might have been about something more interesting :P
