Ann Landers dead at 83

The rather famous advice columnist Ann Landers (twin sister to Dear Abby) passed on recently. My condolences to her family and fans.

    It has been a rough week here in St. Louis as well...

    We lost Jack Buck on Tuesday night, and now Darryl Kile today...

    I remember an old susperstision that famous people die in groups of three. I first became aware of it a few years ago, during the three that inculded Sherry Louis.

    I was floored yesterday when i heard about Darryl, I mean here's an athlete, in perfect health, who takes great care of himself, goes to bed one night and wakes up dead the next morning!

    Yea well, I'm cynical when it comes to meathead baseball players, but we'll see if there really wasn't something else to his death beyond "natural causes."
