    They're all real. There used to be a website on Slate that collected them, but they stopped collecting them some time ago.

    And no other president has ever gaffed this often, ever. Maybe there's a reason for that?

    Just to let every one know, Dubya called the Secretary of State of Minnesota to check on the laws about replacing Wellstone BEFORE he made the condolence call. Nice guy huh?

    I have a hard time believing that all of those are really his. Most, likely; but it's not at all uncommon for lists like this to get corrupted with made-up statements as well.

    He could have easily made the call of condolence first then asked about laws later...

    All of them have sources listed. The master list on Slate was meticulously kept with all sources. This is a small sample of the appalling number of verbal gaffes and blunders he's so famous for.
