To all you poor bastards back east who are going through Ragnarök, I just want to rub it in a bit more.
Tomorrow's forcast, Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50's.
Or what we've been having for the past week.
I think I'll go wash my car then go to the park and stare at the mountains for a while.

I grew up in California, and before I moved out here to Maryland, had only been in the snow once (was really young, and don't even remember it). At first, the whole snow thing was sorta neat. It was a few inches here and there, nothing really big. And then, last weekend, I finally experienced my first REAL snowstorm.
After having to walk the dog three times a day where they STILL haven't cleared the sidewalks, and getting our car stuck in the snow three times, the novelty has worn off.
we got like 4 inches of ice here and it sucked!
The silly thing is that what DC got probably wouldn't have even shut down the schools here in SLC.
It's not the snows fault you've got a dog, people in DC think they're all that in thier cheap** "sport" utility vehicles, and they are too fat and lazy to shovel thier walks. I'm sure if you purchased a pair of snow shoes or learned to ski for the next big storm you'd find "the child inside" again and you'd learn to love it.
You're right though RT ice does suck I remember the ice storm of - I think it was - '94 in DC bad news.
**(That is cheap to buy and in quality but not cheap to drive. Raise the gas tax!!!)

+3*C, but it's really warm if you stand in the sun. I was outside sking for an hour in my t-shirt. And there's no snow to shovel because it hasn't snown in a month!

Why shovel it 4 times?? Why not wait untill it stops snowing and then shovel everything at one time!!
