Haven't you already done 22 work units Sanfam?
You could climb two places if you only completed a couple more work units.
And with ten machines , damn, you could stomp your way up the table in no time at all.
Go on, get it installed, you know you want too.

RB, the nature of WU's is that they are generally faster at the begining and end, with most of the complex data being crunched in the middle.
Maybe you've been unlucky and got a WU with a very low angle range which can take up to twice as long as a normal WU.

• What does the "CPU Years" number mean?
I've looked all over the SETI site but I can't find it
• CactusheadCactushead Earthforce Officer beyond the rim
CPU Years is the accumulation of time that your computer(s) have spent crunching work units.

e.g.
For people with one computer, after 1 day continuous crunching you would have a total CPU Years of 24 hours.
If however, you had your computer only crunching SETI work units for 8 hours a day - it would take you 3 days to have a CPU Years value of 24 hours.

For those of us who are lucky (or mad) enough to have more than one computer crunching work units - this value is a total of all the computers crunching totals.
So even though my CPU Years value is 1.79 years, I have actually only been crunching WU's for nearly exactly 1 year.
My CPU Years is higher because I have more than one computer running.

Did that make any sense? - Well, it is nearly midnight.

Yeah, superb work their Entil'Zha.

I see that your total CPU years is 4.586 years - how many computers have you got running as you've only been a member for just over two years.
I currently have two, but might increase to three in January.

Warble - nice to see that you've joined team B5:ItF already.
You have already gained a place due to SETI's strange table creation criteria so you're currently in 73rd place
It won't be long till you start overtaking many other members.

Unfortunately the B5:ItF website is currently experiencing connection problems to the database
