If so do you know of a good plase to find visual styles and themes other that themexp.org? I am speciffically looking for a good B% or Xenosaga style.

Thanks

Bitching massah.
• I use WindowBlinds (www.wincustomize.com) and the Corona XP style.

Yeah, I have used it. on my other computer
• I've heard Windowsblinds can cause a performance hit, but i've never been able to ask someone who actually uses it. Do you get any slow down with the program running?
• I've got a gig of ram, so I don't know how much it would impact me, but no, I've never noticed any slowdown.

I use the uxtheme.dll hack instead of stylexp. As for good themes, you could try deviantART.

Ditto to what biggles says. I was actually going to suggest just that, as well as Codename Opus C (for shaded taskbar). It's a beautiful skin that just works so damned well with the OS. Very subtle, and not too dark. Of course, dark variations have been made.

I've been using Soft Body for quite some time now, it's very nice.
• It's time for a new skin, and I'm not particularly fond of WindowBlinds. Do I have to buy StyleXP when the trial runs out, or is it only limited in features, like WB was?

I like the cracked UXTHeme.dll + Sentinal blue

No, you don't have to buy anything. You just use some of the features that Microsoft provided, skipping their more stupid ones:

Biggles: From the looks of it, you would potentially like Opus Apollo. It's got some really nice, slimple gradients to give it a comfortable texture that's not annoying and manages to successfully condense the UI while simultaneously making it more accessible.

Yes, you do have to pay. ($20.95USD) When the trial runs out the program stops functioning, except for boot screens, but thats only because they actaually modify the boot.ini

Until the trial runs out though it is fullly functional.

That uxtheme patch on the other hand sounds pretty neat.
• @Biggles: But... but... I have to get SP2? :(

No, that's the brilliant part. There are patches available for other versions of windows xp as well.
