Ever play either of the Heavy Gear games ?

"it's my opinion that your opinion that my opinion is wrong, is wrong"
it looks like some sort of 'special environments' transport.
perhaps a Hyperbaric chamber for Navy divers
it looks to have some sort of massive liquid cooling setup on the back though, perhaps its the mother of all icemakers..
a Refueling truck for Nuke powered vessels ?
a Re-arming truck for Nuclear capable delivery systems ?
Whatever is carried in that thing is high dollar/high margin of saftey or exceptionally specialised.
The lower picture clearly shows the airlock between the real world and his tank -although it's seldom used- and the wheels under the whole construction, well... he has to get around, you know?
I'm just surprised there aren't any Save ITF -slogans or banners painted on the sides of the tank... What's got in to you, B?

HAH HAH HAH!!! ROFL!
Didn't you guys see this get used in the beginning of the directors cut of ALIENS?
Seriously, I think it's amphibious (SP?) for one thing.
That's a very good seal on the cab there too...
With the airlock I'm thinking bio or chemical response of some sort, or just a damn interesting movie prop...

Yes, that's right. It's what I use to move my tank around when I need to be less noticed (and hence can't just use the anti-grav unit). You're wrong about shopping for groceries though. I was actually out shopping for consoles.

Give that man a cigar! It is a modified version but for what I can't figure out.

after doing a little research the unit on the back looks like a super high pressure compressor, which is exactly what you need for a hyperbaric/decompression chamber.
My guess is its for rescuing RN submariners or some such in remote locations, it would make sense to have a very portable hyperbaric chamber for emergency or rapid deployment work. Having the unit in a dedicated amphibious truck means you could take the freakin thing anywhere with little trouble.
I'll ask some questions of my navy buff mate and get back to you.

[b]Trouble is, it's no longer amphibious as it doesn't have the swim board fitted to the front. (Unless they only fit it when required, to stop someone nicking it ).

All I know is that it's cool, and I want one. How much? I gather it's diesel...
(made the US army guys jealous, the Hummer has to have a trailer to carry that much pizza and the trailer gets finky, plus its not amphibious)
That particular example looks to me like a movie prop, but what the hell do I know
